Frequently Asked Questions
Orders & quotes
How long does it take to produce a custom part?
Lead time depends on the complexity of your project and is specified in the quote. It is generally between a few days and two weeks.
How do I submit my 3D file?
Go to the Custom order page, fill in the form and attach your file. You will receive a personalised quote by email promptly.
Which file formats do you accept?
STL, OBJ and 3MF formats are accepted. If in doubt, feel free to contact me before sending your file.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Any modification or cancellation must be requested before production starts. Once manufacturing has begun, no changes can be made.
Intellectual property & licenses
Why are some reproduction requests refused?
I do not accept orders reproducing characters, logos, or designs protected by copyright or a registered trademark (Disney characters, Marvel, video games, trademarks, etc.), unless explicitly authorised by the rights holder.
What is a Creative Commons (CC) license?
It's a licensing system that defines what you're allowed to do with a 3D model shared by its creator (printing, modifying, commercial use…). It's found on most 3D file-sharing platforms: Thingiverse, Printables, MakerWorld, Cults3D, etc.
What do CC BY, CC BY-NC, CC BY-SA… mean?
Each letter adds a condition to the base license (CC BY):
• BY (Attribution): you must credit the original creator.
• SA (Share Alike): any reuse must be shared under the same license.
• ND (No Derivatives): the model cannot be modified.
• NC (Non Commercial): the file cannot be used for commercial purposes.
They combine, e.g.: CC BY-NC-SA, CC BY-ND, CC BY-NC-ND…
Can I ask you to print a file under an "NC" (non-commercial) license?
No. A paid printing service is considered commercial use of the file. I cannot produce, for payment, a licensed model marked NC (Non Commercial), in any combination (CC BY-NC, CC BY-NC-SA, CC BY-NC-ND).
How do I know if a file I found is free to use?
Always check the license stated by the creator on the download platform. If in doubt, contact me before sending your file, I systematically verify the source and associated rights before any production.
What if my file is a 100% original creation?
No problem! If you are the author of the model, or it is in the public domain or under a CC0 / Public Domain license, I can print it without restriction.
Materials & quality
Which materials do you use?
Depending on your needs: PLA, PLA Matte, PLA Silk+, PETG, PETG-CF (carbon-reinforced), ABS, ASA and TPU. Check the filament guide to choose the right material for your project.
Are the parts heat or water resistant?
It depends on the material. PETG withstands up to 80 °C and is semi-resistant to moisture. ABS and ASA offer better thermal resistance (~95 °C) and UV resistance. PLA is not recommended for hot or humid environments.
Do you offer multiple colours?
Yes, a wide range of colours is available depending on the selected material. Please specify your preferences when requesting a quote.
